Georgia House Bill 147, known as the “Safe Schools Act,” is currently making its way through the General Assembly, and then to Governor Kemp’s desk for signature. Once enacted, this legislation sets up school safety and anti-gang training for teachers, requires schools to submit safety plans to the state, and necessitates annual emergency drills for active intruder situations on school campuses.
The ShieldCampus platform’s organizational, training, communication, and mental health monitoring modules work in tandem with these new requirements—empowering teachers and administrators to implement school emergency and safety plans more efficiently to better protect their students.
